The theme of International Women’s Day 2025 is #AccelerateAction. But why is the progress still so slow?
Progress for women in leadership has been incremental at best. Despite years of modest target-setting, women still hold only 29% of C-suite roles, and the gap appears early – for every 100 men promoted to a managerial role, only 89 women move up. For women of color, the numbers are even lower.
Change isn’t just about setting out policies and targets – it's about culture, leadership, and taking practical action to support women.
In this discussion, Judith Parsons and Lee Waller, members of faculty at Hult International Business School, explore why progress in organizational life is still so slow, and the importance of taking practical steps to move beyond words.
