Client story: NHS Business Services Authority

Making room for L&D in the public sector

The partner of choice for the NHS

Our partnership

The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) collaborated with Hult Ashridge Executive Education to deliver digital learning, tailored to their learning requirements and core values via our Leadership Live platform. This self-directed learning solution has led to organizational efficiencies and high learner satisfaction.

The NHSBSA is a body of the Department of Health and Social Care. It manages over £35 billion of NHS spend annually, delivering a range of services across the organization.

“It looked like something we’d developed alongside Hult Ashridge, rather than Hult Ashridge just giving us access to their site. They were very accommodating – and it was bespoke.”

Megan Corker, Digital Learning Consultant

The challenge

The NHSBSA needed our support to create a large-scale, self-directed digital learning solution that needed minimal intervention and had efficient access to high-quality business school content.

The organization was keen to remove common barriers to great learning experiences for its users. We needed to ensure the solution was customized to the organization’s needs, both in the content it provided and the look and feel of the platform.

Our impact

Improved access to learning with personalized learning paths

We worked closely with the NHSBSA to design a bespoke digital learning platform that reflected their organizational needs, their identity, and aligned with their core values.

With 3,200 users successfully onboarded to Leadership Live, each learner has access to personalized learning paths, as well as reports and psychometrics to track their progress. Users can watch, read, listen, and learn in 15-minute sessions or longer to suit their learning style, while the self-directed nature of the program has freed up valuable L&D time to focus on other projects.

Together, we have achieved the NHSBSA’s goal of providing its users with barrier-free access to relevant learning resources, while driving organizational efficiencies.
